Since 2004, Blizzard created Quest log before the game ever was open public. The quests in Quest log has been increased from 20 in the beginning to 25 as the system becoming better and bigger during Burning Crusade expansion. After that, the amount has been always 25 though some community wants an increased amount or even an unbound quest log. At WoWhead, the dataminers found the a few changes to Quests. It is true that many players are annoyed about it and wanted it goes. During the Alpha testing, Ellypse twitted that “A new function returns the max number of quests for the quest log (C_QuestLog.GetMaxNumQuests()). Right now this function returns 50.” It still has 25 limits in quest log, but some of quests are not included in this number.
What kinds of quests are not count towards the 25 quest limit? Any of the quests that are labeled as Account Bound will not count the limit anymore. All those various Pet Battle quests. That means you do not need to abandon quests like Beasts of Fable Book I to make room for the alt quest log when you are leveling up.
In addition, when while you tracking low-level quest, daily quests received a nice visual effect, making it easier to spot on the quest givers.
