The Ahn'Qiraj War Effort is a server-wide event that precedes the opening of the two raids of Phase 5 in Classic WoW, Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj and Ahn'Qiraj. This massive event has three phases to it: The Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline for elite guilds, the War Effort Supplies for the entirety of the server, and at the end of both these events, a massive Ten Hour War in Silithus.

In this guide, you will learn everything about the War Effort Gathering event, a massive cooperation effort between the Horde and the Alliance in search of supplies for the upcoming war again the Qiraji.
What is the War Effort Gathering?
The War Effort Gathering is an event in which both the Horde and the Alliance need to gather materials to prepare for the upcoming War Effort. Requiring hundreds of thousands of each material and reaching into the millions for each faction in total it takes an entire server's worth of effort for this event to be completed.

The War Effort requires materials used by all level characters, so you are able to contribute whether you've just started your journey into Classic WoW, or already very progressed at level 60.
Ahn'Qiraj War Effort Quests
Each faction will have access to a number of quests that require certain profession materials. As the quests differ between factions, cooperation between both the Horde and the Alliance is required in order to complete the War Effort in a timely manner. The War Effort NPCs are located by the Military Ward in Ironforge for Alliance characters, and the Valley of Spirits in Orgrimmar for Horde characters.

You are able to obtain the following rewards from turning in War Effort Quests:
Ahn'Qiraj War Effort Supplies, which contains random BOE items and scrolls.
You obtain one War Effort Supply box for every quest turn-in.
The War Effort Supplies will change depending on what items you turn in - For example, quest turn-ins for the low level  Copper Bars grants a Supply Box containing low-level supplies, while turning in  Runecloth Bandages will grant high-level supplies.
Alliance Commendation Signet or  Horde Commendation Signet, which can be used to either increase Reputation with one of your faction's races, or more  Ahn'Qiraj War Effort Supplies.
When doing a turn-in quest for the first time, you will always receive 10 signets. Repeated turn-ins will grant different amounts of Signets, as referred by the quantity lists below.
You can talk to Field Marshal Snowfall or Warlord Gorchuk to get updated on the War Effort progression for your faction at any time. You can also talk to General Zog or Commander Stronghammer to learn of the opposite faction's progression.
